A Peep of Jutomue's Journey


Jutomue Doetein, an AYSRH,
 Child and Youth Rights Advocate. He is a motivational speaker, served as a Former Speaker of the Liberian Children's Parliament, and currently serves as Liberia's Adolescents and Youth Representative, Family Planning 2030. Youth Ambassador @YouthLead 2020.

He is one of the Youngest Adolescents and Youth Representatives in Africa on the Global Family Planning Country Team. As an Advocate, realizing the huge teenage pregnancy rate in Liberia, Jutomue works in Liberia aim at ensuring that girls make use of modern Contraceptives to protect themselves, thereby having babies by choice and not chance as well as having access to information about their Sexual and Reproductive Health to make informed choices. 

In 2021 with support from the FP2020 Secretariat, he collaborated with youths in Liberia and raised awareness to improve the Sexual and Reproductive Health of Adolescents and Youth thus buttressing the Government of Liberia's efforts to reduce teenage pregnancy.

He has created massive awareness about the 2011 children's law of Liberia, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child, and other legal instruments that protect children worldwide impacting over 7,000 children in Liberia.

Jutomue has created awareness of drug abuse, educating hundreds of Liberian Youths about the effect of abusing drugs and taking harmful substances. 

Additionally, in 2018, he was nominated for the International Children's Peace Prize.
In October of the same year, he represented the children of Liberia at a Global Health Conference in Asia, where he advocated strongly and called on the World Health Organization and other International Partners to invest more in the health and well-being of Women, Children, and Adolescents. 

Meanwhile, Jutomue has served as an Advocacy Officer of a Non-Governmental organization (SHALOM INC) empowering over 375 Adolescents annually with livelihood skills in Liberia. Annually, SHALOM empowers hundreds of adolescents' girls to make inform decision about their lives including their sexual and reproductive health.
